How to stay young?

10 mantras to stay young
1. Feel young
We look the way we feel. It is simply like, when we are happy or sad, it is reflected on our face. So always feel young. This spirit will keep you filled up with lots of energy.
2. Spend some time with the younger ones.
Prefer the company of the people younger than you. It does not mean that you leave your age mates and forcibly try to fit in the youngsters, even the latter will not tolerate you for longer. Simply spend some time with the younger lot. In certain doings or discussions, you will feel that your “younger inside” has come out.
3. Remain busy
Keep yourself occupied. When you will remain busy, you will not think about useless things, not engage yourself in unnecessary gossips, will not make different faces and gestures while discussing about your next door neighbor or the person you don’t like much. People will feel good about you and it will boost your confidence. That will again add in your scores.
4. Do creative things
Always try to do something creative. It will give you immense satisfaction and happiness which will be reflected on your face.
5. Eat healthy
‘Eat healthy-stay healthy’ is a mantra of a healthy and disease free life. Focus on what you eat. Eat nutritious foods. When we are young, our body metabolism is comparatively fast. It can repair, synthesize and rejuvenate the necessary components but with age, all these processes slow down. At this stage, it becomes important for us to provide all necessary ingredients to our body.
6. Be positive
Feel good about yourself. Learn “I can do it, I will do it”. Nothing is impossible if you are determined. Have confidence in yourself. You are no way less than the person next to you.
7. Keep fit
Do yoga. Yoga keeps you mentally as well as physically fit. Of and on, try it. It works. Go for cardio sessions in Gym and keep your body in shape. A good body will get you the complements and enhance your personality.
8. Try doing different things
Never say “No” without logic. Never surrender before trying. Believe, we get life only once. ‘Before my journey ends, I must have done lots of things’. Be a good learner. Age is no bar if you want to learn.
9. Give time to yourself
Once in a week at least, spare time for YOU. Think about you, your existence, your needs, your priorities and give them importance. Learn to live for yourself. Sacrifices for the family are good enough but think about YOUSELF also.
10. Never let the ‘baby’ inside you die
There is a small baby inside each one of us. Do not let it die whatever be the age. There is no harm in behaving like a kid sometimes. It will help you feel young.

Interesting pointers Kawaljit :) There is awareness amongst us but the push to do something is lacking since we are all engulfed in the big wide chakrayu of life ;)
Good points--all of them. I have incorporated all of these "mantras" into my life and feel much younger than my 50 years. I do believe that aging can be a very good thing. I enjoyed your article!
When I read your profile and you said you had adult children I was surprised. You look so young in your picture! I agree with this hub! Voted up and useful!
I love this hub, really interesting points about staying young, and we all want to! Thanks for sharing! Voted Up and Awesome!
Thamks for reminding us of all those good things that are good for us. Love and peace, yoga, meditation, healthy food, healthy relationships, self care, good friends...
Perhaps when there starts to be a larger age difference between me and young people I will feel young being around them. I have found I feel young when I am the youngest adult in the room. If the person is, say, five years younger than I am -I am 35- this might actually make me feel older if we talk about music or movies as I was never interested in the movies and music when I was a teenager. as for the other tips, I always try to keep my mind busy and be creative. I love learning new things. I try to eat healthy foods and exercise regularly.

GREAT hub! If a hub were ever needed in my life, IT IS THIS ONE. I am 57, afflicted with Accelrated Fibromyalgia and Neurothopy and life for me is a daily warfare of pain, depression, and yes, old age, that is not so bad. I NEEDED this one. Thanks.
Hi,
I am happy that this hub has proved soothing for you. What I did, and if it could prove worth by giving you some relief and has brought your morale up, nothing else can give me more happiness. May God bless you.
Aging is a good thing as long as you stay young in mind and spirit! With age comes also an inner peace, at least it did for me.
It is important to enjoy and cherish the small things in your life and surround yourself with things you love or whom you love. Be positive!! and do creative things.
This is such a wonderful hub, Kawaljit! Voted up and beautiful.
Thank you for this reminder!

Hi Kawaljit,
Very valid points you made here.Old age is a matter of the mind and we only grow old if the mind stops thinking.
